Tennessee-licensed social workers have a yearly license renewal with a December 31st deadline. Fifteen (15) hours of continuing education are required to renew a license. Nine (9) hours are allowed from online continuing education courses (multi-media), and licensees are responsible for determining appropriateness of courses. Five hours of professional ethics are required at each renewal.
