Speech language pathologists licensed in the state of Iowa have a license renewal every two years with a deadline of December 31st, odd years.
Thirty hours of continuing education are required in order to renew a license. Of the thirty hours, sixteen (16) hours are allowed from home study (independent study).
There are no pre-approvals, licensees are responsible for selecting appropriate courses. Courses must be maintained for audit.
